Accounts & Setup
Do I need Apple and Google developer accounts?
No, you don't need developer accounts to get started with Taptool. You can design and test your app using our preview features completely free. When you're ready to publish to the app stores, you'll need developer accounts - Apple charges $99/year and Google charges a one-time fee of $25 (fees subject to change). During testing, we'll use our developer account to publish your app to TestFlight for iOS testing.
How long does it take to set up an app?
Most merchants can set up the app within a few hours and see the test app on their devices in testing mode. The full process, including publishing to app stores, typically takes 1-2 weeks, with most of that time being the app store review process.
Design & Customization
Can I use my own branding in the app?
Yes, Taptool allows you to fully customize your app with your own logo, colors, fonts, and other branding elements enabling you to create a unique and professional app that reflects your brand.
Can I preview my app before publishing?
Yes, Taptool provides a live preview feature that lets you see how your app will look and function on different devices before publishing.

Yes, you can make changes to your app at any time. Layout and content changes are reflected immediately in your app, including changes to sections. New features added to the Taptool platform may require an app update before becoming available in your app.

Publishing & Maintenance
How long does the app approval process take?
The approval process varies by platform. Google Play typically takes 1-3 days, while Apple's App Store can take 1-7 days for review. During this time, we will continue giving you our best support to ensure your app is ready for launch as soon as possible.
Who owns the app once it's published?
You own your app. Taptool is the technology provider that helps you build and maintain your app, but the app itself belongs to your business.
How do app updates work?
Most content updates happen automatically without requiring a new app version. For feature updates or major changes, Taptool handles the update process for both app stores.
What happens if I cancel my Taptool subscription?
If you cancel your subscription, your app will continue to function until the end of your billing period. After that, the app functionality will be limited to the features available in the free plan.
