Managing Your Taptool Account
This guide covers common account management tasks, including updating your contact information and managing your login credentials.
Changing Your Email Address
To change the email address associated with your Taptool account:
1. Access Your Profile Settings
Log in to your Taptool Dashboard and click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
2. Update Your Email in Basic Information
In the profile page, locate the "Basic Information" section where your current email is displayed.
3. Enter Your New Email Address
Type your new email address in the "Email" field and click "Update Profile".
4. Verify Your Identity
For security purposes, you'll be asked to enter your current account password.
5. Complete Verification
A verification email will be sent to your new address. Click the verification link in the email to complete the process.
Important: Your current email address remains valid until you verify the new one.
Changing Your Password
To update your Taptool account password:
1. Access Your Profile Settings
Log in to your Taptool Dashboard and click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
2. Locate the "Change Password" Section
Scroll down to find the password management section.
3. Create a New Password
Enter your new password, following these requirements:
- Must contain lowercase letters
- Must contain uppercase letters
- Must include symbols (like #, ?, !, -, &)
- Must be at least 6 characters long
4. Save Your Changes
Click the "Change Password" button to update your credentials.
Resetting Your Password
If you're unable to log in to your Taptool account:
1. Go to the Login Page
Navigate to app.taptool.co.
2. Use the Password Recovery Option
Click on the "Forgot password" link below the login form.
3. Provide Your Email
Enter the email address associated with your Taptool account and click "Reset My Password".
4. Check Your Email
You'll receive an email with a password reset link. Check your inbox and click the link.
5. Create a New Password
Set your new password and save the changes.
Alternative Access Method
You can always access your Taptool dashboard through your Shopify admin dashboard by clicking on the 'Taptool - Mobile App' option.
Removing Taptool Sales Channel
If you need to remove the Taptool sales channel from your Shopify dashboard:
1. Navigate to Settings
Go to the 'Settings' section in your Shopify dashboard, located at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
2. Access Apps and Sales Channels
On the Settings page, click on 'Apps and sales channels'.
3. Find Taptool in Your List
Locate Taptool in your list of installed sales channels.
4. Uninstall the App
Click 'Uninstall' next to the Taptool app.
5. Confirm Removal
When prompted, confirm that you want to remove the app.
Important: Removing the sales channel will impact your mobile app's functionality. Your app will no longer be able to connect to your store or process orders. If you're considering removing Taptool, we'd appreciate your feedback about your experience.
